Events Outdoors Mountain Biking 2005 UK England Somerset Mendips	Fri 4 Mar 2005 Great ride with Steve, training for the Polaris. Some light snow and quite windy but nothing too wild. Good climbs and rocky descents. Lillypool Farm -> Axbridge -> Wavering Down -> Crook Peak -> Wavering Down -> King's Wood [Mendips] -> Cross -> Crown Inn, Axbridge -> Cheddar -> Tyning's Farm -> Beacon Batch -> Goatchurch Cavern -> Rod's Pot -> Churchill Slabs -> Rowberrow -> Lillypool Farm . 40 km, 1000 m of ascent, 3:10 ride time, 4:40 total time, 12.6 km/h average speed, 43.2 km/h maximum speed.
