Events Outdoors Mountain Biking 2005 UK England Somerset Quantocks	Sun 15 May 2005 My first mountain bike trip to the Quantocks, with Steve and Sean. Very impressive - some great open riding across the tops and good fast descents in the combes with lots of water splashes. Crowcombe Park Gate -> Bicknoller Post -> Weacombe -> Beacon Hill -> Smith's Combe -> Bicknoller Post -> E combe -> Hodder's Combe -> Stella's Tea Garden -> Holford Combe -> Great Bear -> Dead Women's Ditch -> Rams Combe -> Quantock Combe -> Quantock Farm -> Great Wood -> Pepperhill Farm -> Cockercombe Bottom -> Triscombe Stone -> technical singletrack back to Cockercombe Bottom -> Triscombe Stone -> Crowcombe Gate. 37 km, 1070 m of ascent, 3:03 ride time, 5:15 total time, 11.15 km/h average speed, 43.6 km/h maximum speed.
